3.2.2 Income, intermediate consumption and value added 77 Table D shows value of income, intermediate consumption and value added of business establishments in Bangkok, it was found that there were a total of 3.6 trillion baht of income, 2.8 trillion baht of intermediate consumption and 0.8 trillion baht of value added. The ratio of the value added to the income was about 22.4 percent. Considering by size of establishment, it showed that the establishments with 6-15 persons had the highest proportion of income and value added, of about 24.8 percent, 33.0 percent respectively. The establishments with 51-200 persons had the highest proportion of intermediate consumption, of about 23.6 percent. Considering by division of business industry, it showed that most of the income, intermediate consumption and value added were wholesale trade (except of motor vehicles and motorcycles) , which had the proportions, of about 51.6 percent, 57.2 percent and 32.2 percent. This was followed by those engaged in retail trade (except of motor vehicles and motorcycles), which had the proportions, of income, intermediate consumption and value added of about 19.7 percent, 19.2 percent and 21.4 percent. The other divisions of business industry not mentioned above had the proportion of income, intermediate consumption and value added less than 13.0 percent. Considering the ratio of the value added to the income by division of business industry, it was found that the establishments engaged in security and investigation activities contributed the highest proportion of value added to income of about 59.3 percent. Meanwhile, the establishments engaged in gambling and betting activities had the lowest proportion of value added to income, of about 10.4 percent.
