Census data are useful for both public and private users; it can be utilized in various aspects as follows: Public Sector: 1.3.1 To be used in policy formulation and economic development plan of the country in both local and national level for enhanced the potential of entrepreneurs to be able to compete in the ASEAN region and international level. 1.3.2 To be used for the production of economic indicators such as Gross Domestic Product (GDP), Input-Output Table, and proportion of labor in business and manufacturing sector, etc. 1.3.3 To be used in setting up plans for the development of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the country. 1.3.4 To be used in considering and setting up the government policy and regulations for promoting and directing the private business. 1.3.5 To provide basic information for the infrastructure planning which supports entrepreneurs. 1.3.6 To be used in the development of economics and social warning systems. 1.3.7 To be used in providing the sampling frame for collecting data from the establishment in various statistical units. Private Sector: 1.3.8 Entrepreneurs can use as a tool for the analysis of the economic situation as well as for making decisions regarding business investment, management, and operation for more efficiency. 1.3.9 To be used as a benchmark performance with other enterprises in the same industry. 1.3.10 To be used by academic institutions and researchers who are interested in relevant and in deep study of economic situations and related matters. 47
