CHAPTER 2 STATISTICAL METHODOLOGY The establ ishments under the scope of the census were those engaged in wholesale trade, retail trade and services classified according to the Thailand Standard Industrial Classifications (TSIC-2009). The census covered all the business establishments located in fixed premises in municipal areas and non-municipal areas throughout the country. All the information collected refers to the operation period of establishment during January 1 to December 31 , 20 2 1. 2.3.1 Enumeration unit In this census, the enumeration units are business trade and services establishments listed on the sampling frame. 2.3.2 Establishments An establishment is defined as an economic unit which engages under the ownership or control of a single legal entity, in a kind of economic activity at a fixed location. Considering; 1) If operate more than one kind of business at the same place that can separate accounting system and can completely separate the number of persons engaged, specify each type of business as an individual establishment but cannot separate accounting system, specify as one establishment. 2 ) If the establishments located at different place, specify establishments as an individual establishment.
