CHAPTER 3 MAJOR FINDING 3.1 General information of the establishment The census results showed that there were a total of 2 . 6 hundred thousand establishments in Bangkok. Considering by structure from the size of establishment, it was found that most of them (about 2.1 hundred thousand establishments or 82.3 percent) engaged in establishments with 1-5 persons. The rest were establishment with 6 persons or more (about 4.5 ten thousand establishments). Considering by division of the business industry, it was found that most of establishments (about 32.4 percent) engaged in retail trade (except of motor vehicles and motorcycles). This was followed by those engaged in food and beverage service activities, real estate activities and other personal service activities were about 19.9 percent, 11.9 percent and 10.4 percent, respectively. The other divisions of business industry not mentioned above had rather low proportion; each division had less than 10.0 percent of the total (Table A).
