43 Business and Industrial Census Chapter 3 Major Finding 3.2.1 Persons engaged and remuneration 1) Number of persons engaged In 2021 , the workers of the Central region manufacturing establishments, were a total of 1 , 790 , 350 persons . Most ( about 1 ,090,481 persons or 60 .9 %) were in establishments more than 200 persons ( Table B ). Considering by division of industry, most of them worked in the Manufacture of motor vehicles, trailers and semi - trailers and Manufacture of food products in the close proportion about 13.7% Followed by those who worked in Manufacture of computer, electronic and optical products , and Manufacture of rubber and plastic products about 11 . 3 % and 8 . 7 % respectively . The other divisions of industry not mentioned above had a relatively low proportion of persons engaged, each with not greater than 8.5% of the total . 2) Number of employees In terms of employees of manufacturing establishments, there were totally 1 ,707, 227 persons .
