The 2022 Business and Industrial Census ( Manufacturing Industry: Northeastern region ) 34 National Statistical Office All information collected refers to the operation of the establishment from January 1 to December 31, 2021 1 . Manufacturing establishments refer to establishments engaged in manufacturing which is defined as the mechanical or chemical transformation of substances into new products whether the work is performed by power-driven machines or by hand, whether it is done in a factory, a workshop or a home and whether the products are sold wholesale or retail. The assembly of component parts of manufactured products is considered manufacturing. 2. Manufacturing industry classification in conducting the 2022 Industrial Census, manufacturing industry activities are classified according to the Thailand Standard Industrial Classification (TSIC 2009) Category C (Division 10 – 33), Category E (Division 37 – 39) and Category J (Division 58). The arrangement the Manufacturing industry is as follows; Divisions are the sub-sections identified by the first two digits code. There are total 28 divisions ranging from 10 – 33, 37 – 39 and 58 Groups are the sub-divisions identified by the first three digits code. There are total 78 groups ranging from 101 – 332, 370 – 390 and 581 - 582 Classes are the sub-groups identified by the first four digits code. There are total 164 classes ranging from 1011 – 3320, 3700 – 3900 and 5811 - 5820 2 . 2 REFERENCE PERIOD 2 . 3 DEFINITION
