30 National Statistical Office The 2022 Business and Industrial Census ( Manufacturing Industry : Northern Region ) The National Statistical Office ( NSO ) has adjusted the period of the Industrial Census to every 5 years since 2012 according to the requirement of the key economic agencies, such as the Office of the National Economic and Social Development Council, Ministry of Commerce, Office of the Industrial Economics, and Bank of Thailand . Due to the global economic volatility, the structure of business, trade, service, and industrial activities were dramatically changed, and each agency needed more timely data to analyze and monitor the regional and national economic situation . In 2012 was matured 10 years for conducting the Business trade and Service Census and 5 years for conducting the Industrial Census . That is the first time NSO integrated both economic census under “ The 2012 Business and Industrial Census .” And in 2022 is the maturing of the 5 th Business trade and Service Census and the 6 th Industrial Census, the NSO planned to integrated both census again . 1. To collect basic information which clarifies the structure and the distribution of the establishments in economic activity of the country, such as wholesale trade, retail trade, services, industry, construction, storage and, information and communication industry, etc . 1 . 2 OBJECTIVES
