43 Business and Industrial Census Chapter 3 Major Finding 3.2.1 Persons engaged and remuneration 1) Number of persons engaged In 2 0 2 1 , the workers of the Vicinity manufacturing establishments were a total of 1,510,023 persons . Most ( about 776,745 persons or 51.4% ) were in establishments with more than 200 persons ( Table B ). Considering by division of industry, most of them (about 306,880 persons or 20.3 % ) worked in the Manufacture of food products . Followed by those who worked in the Manufacture of rubber and plastic products , and the Manufacture of fabricated metal products ( excepts machinery and equipment ) about 11 . 1 % , and 9.8%, respectively . The other divisions of industry not mentioned above had a relatively low proportion of persons engaged, each with not greater than 8.0 % of the total . 2) Number of employees In terms of employees in manufacturing establishments, there were a total of 1,489,848 persons .
