SET Index A composite index calculated from the prices of all common stocks (including unit trusts of property funds) on the main trading board, except for those stocks that have been suspended for more than 1 year. The SET Index calculation is constantly adjusted to fully reflect changes in the values and number of stocks resulting from various events, e.g., public offerings, exercised warrants, conversions of preferred to common shares, in order to eliminate all effects other than price movements from the index. Government Finance Government Expenditure Cover only budgetary expenditure of central government, which is classified by the functional and economic features. Domestic Government Debt It refers to the gross outstanding debt of the central government and state enterprises borrowed from domestic resources via bonds issuance, treasury bills, promissory notes, and direct borrowings through overdrawn account and loan contracts. External Debt It refers to the remaining outstanding portion of liabilities (excluding equity) which residents have over nonresidents of an economy. External debt also covers all contracted obligations, both with and without interest payments, in which debtors agree to repay the principal amount to the nonresident creditors. The scope of external debt covers all types of liabilities, regardless of currency denomination and types of debt instrument. Public Sector External Debt refers to external debt that the public sector borrows from nonresident creditors. This includes central government debt (contracted under the name of the Royal Thai government), state enterprise debt, government guaranteed-private sector debt and BOT’s debt. Private Sector External Debt refers to external debt, which the private sector borrows from non- resident creditors. This includes external debt borrowed by the banking sector (commercial bank and the international Banking Facilities: IBFs), and non-bank corporate (such as finance companies, private enterprises involving trade and manufacturing, as well as individuals).
