Preface
The National Statistical Office (NSO) publishes the first new version
“booklet” of the 2013 Social Indicators in Brief from the previous version “Core
Economic and Social Indicators of Thailand” which was published every year.
This booklet, users would use with a handy report but still full of major social
statistics/indicators in 5 sectors namely; Population and Housing, Labor Force,
Education, Health and Other Social Statistics.
All key indicators presented in this booklet are selected specially
for executives, businessmen and all other users to use for their evidence-
based plans and policies as well as monitoring and evaluating the country’s
situation on social.
The National Statistical Office gratefully acknowledges all kind
cooperations of the government agencies and state enterprises in providing
the essential statistical data/indicators which make the success of this
publication possible. The National Statistical Office hopes that this booklet
would be useful for the government, public sectors and the general users.
