The 2014 Social Indicators in Brief

Preface The National Statistical Office (NSO) publishes the second new version booklet of “the 2014 Social Indicators in Brief” to take place the previous version “Core Economic and Social Indicators of Thailand” which was published every year. This handy report is still full of contents with major social statistics/indicators, divided into 6 sectors namely; Population and Housing, Labor Force, Education, Health, Gender and Other Social Statistics. All key indicators presented in this booklet are selected specially for executives, businessmen and all other users to use them for the evidence-based plans and policies as well as monitoring and evaluating the country’s situation on social. The National Statistical Office gratefully acknowledges all kind cooperations of the government agencies and state enterprises in providing the essential statistical data/indicators which make the success of this publication possible. The National Statistical Office hopes that this booklet would be useful for the government, public sectors and the general users.
