The first of these is health for the country’s people. This is measured by life expectancy at birth and those with higher life expectancies rank higher than those with lower life expectancies. The second dimension measured in the HDI is a country’s overall knowledge level as measured by the adult literacy rate combined with the gross enrollment ratios of students in primary school through the university level. The third and final dimension in the HDI is a country’s ดัชนีการพัฒนามนุษย์พิจารณาความส าเร็จในการ พัฒนามนุษย์ของประเทศใน 3 มิติ มิติแรก คือ สุขภาพ ของประชากรซึ่งพิจารณาจากอายุคาดเฉลี่ยประเทศที่มี อายุคาดเฉลี่ยของทารกแรกเกิดสูงกว่าอยู่ในอันดับการ พัฒนามนุษย์สูงกว่าประเทศที่มีอายุคาดเฉลี่ยของทารก แรกเกิดต่ากว่า มิติที่สอง คือ ความรู้ของประชากรใน ภาพรวม พิจารณาจากอัตราการรู้หนังสือควบคู่ไปกับ อัตราการเข้าศึกษาตั้งแต่ระดับประถมศึกษาจนถึง ระดับอุดมศึกษา และมิติสุดท้าย คือ มาตรฐานการ ครองชีพ ซึ่งวัดจากรายได้ต่อหัวที่ภาวะเสมอภาคของ อานาจซื้อ โดยประเทศที่มีมาตรฐานการครองชีพดีกว่า จะอยู่ในอันดับการพัฒนามนุษย์ที่สูงกว่าประเทศที่มี มาตรฐานการครองชีพต่ากว่า ทั้งนี้ ดัชนีการพัฒนา มนุษย์ ซึ่งคานวณโดยส านักงานโครงการพัฒนาแห่ง ไม่พบรายละเอียด
