Gender Statistics Gender statistics presented in this chapter were obtained from the Department of Provincial Administration, Ministry of Interior and Department of Disease Control, Ministry of Health and National Statistical Office. At present, women have played more important and some major roles in country development. Many countries aim at equal and merit society and raising dignity of human beings so as to reduce disparity between female and male. To promote and support participation of women in decision making, which will bring equality between men and women in the society, gender statistics is presented as a tool for assessing on equal terms between men and women.
