ข อมูลพื้นฐานด านประชากรและสังคมของผู ย ายถิ่น สําหรับ นําไปใช ในการติดตามสถานการณ การย ายถิ่นของ ประชากร เพื่อนําไปประกอบในการกําหนดนโยบาย และจัดทํา แผนเกี่ยวกับการกระจายตัวและการตั้งถิ่นฐานของประชากร ในแผนพัฒนาเศรษฐกิจและสังคมแห งชาติ ตลอดจนใช เป น แนวทางในการวางแผนพัฒนาโครงการต างๆ และแก ไข ป ญหาที่เกิดจากการย ายถิ่นของประชากร การเข ามาในราชอาณาจักรชั่วคราว คนต างด าวที่จะเข ามาในราชอาณาจักรเป นการ ชั่วคราวได จะต องเข ามาเพื่อการปฏิบัติหน าที่ทางราชการ การทูตหรือกงสุล การท องเที่ยว การเล นกีฬา ธุรกิจ การลงทุน หรือการอื่นที่เกี่ยวกับการลงทุนภายใต บังคับ กฎหมายส งเสริมการลงทุน หรือการลงทุนที่ได รับความ เห็นชอบจากกระทรวง ทบวง กรมที่เกี่ยวข อง การเดิน ทางผ านราชอาณาจักร การเป นผู ควบคุมพาหนะหรือคน ประจําพาหนะที่เข ามายังสถานีหรือท องที่ในราชอาณาจักร การศึกษาหรือดูงาน การปฏิบัติหน าที่สื่อมวลชน การ เผยแพร ศาสนาที่ได รับความเห็นชอบจากกระทรวง กรมที่ เกี่ยวข อง การค นคว าทางวิทยาศาสตร หรือฝ กสอนใน สถาบันการค นคว าหรือสถาบันการศึกษาในราชอาณาจักร การปฏิบัติงานด านช างฝ มือหรือผู เชี่ยวชาญ และการอื่น ตามที่กําหนดในกฎกระทรวง คนต างด าวซึ่งได รับอนุญาตให มีถิ่นที่อยู ใน ราชอาณาจักร จะต องขอรับใบสําคัญถิ่นที่อยู จากผู บัญชาการ ตํารวจแห งชาติ หรือพนักงานเจ าหน าที่ซึ่งผู บัญชาการตํารวจ แห งชาติมอบหมายไว เป นหลักฐาน ภายในเวลา 30 วันนับ แต วันที่ได รับแจ งจากพนักงานเจ าหน าที่เป นลายลักษณ อักษร ในกรณีที่คนต างด าวอายุต่ํากว าสิบสองป ได รับ อนุญาตให มีถิ่นที่อยู ในราชอาณาจักร ผู ใช อํานาจปกครอง หรือผู ปกครอง ต องขอรับใบสําคัญถิ่นที่อยู ในนามของคน ต างด าวผู นั้น The objectives are to collect basic information on socio and demographic of the migrants for being used in the evidence-based plans and policies for solving the problems of the population migration. Temporary stay in the Kingdom. Alien can enter into the Kingdom for a temporary stay, if they are working for diplomatic or consular missions; official duties; and touring, sporting, doing business and investment or other activities related to investment, subject to the provisions of the law on investment promotion; transit journey; persons in charge of the crew of a conveyance coming to port, station or area in the Kingdom; study or observation; mass media; missionary under the concurrence of the Ministries and Departments concerned; scientific research or training or teaching in educational institutes in the Kingdom; skilled handicraft or a specialist; and other activities as prescribed in the Ministerial Regulation. The alien who is allowed to take up residence in the Kingdom must apply for a Residence Certificate from the Commissioner-General of the Royal Thai Police or from an officer designated by the Commissioner- General of the Royal Thai Police within 30 days from the date receiving written notification from a designated officer.
