รถยนต บริการใช เช า หมายถึง รถยนต ที่จัดไว ให เช า ซึ่งมิใช เป นการเช าเพื่อนําไปรับจ างบรรทุกคนโดยสารหรือ สิ่งของ สํารวจการประกอบการขนส งด วยรถโดยสาร ประจําทาง สํานักงานสถิติแห งชาติเป นผู จัดทํา โดยจัดทํา ครั้งแรกในป พ . ศ . 2532 มีวัตถุประสงค เพื่อเก็บรวบรวม ข อมูลพื้นฐานเกี่ยวกับโครงสร างและลักษณะการดําเนินกิจการ ของผู ประกอบการขนส งด วยรถโดยสารประจําทาง ทั้งในส วน ของผู ประกอบการที่ได รับใบอนุญาตฯ และผู ประกอบการรถร วม ทั่วประเทศ ผู ได รับใบอนุญาตประกอบการขนส งด วยรถโดยสาร ประจําทาง หมายถึง ผู ได รับใบอนุญาตประกอบการขนส ง ด วยรถโดยสารประจําทาง ในเส นทางเดินรถ ซึ่งกําหนดโดย กรมการขนส งทางบก ผู ได รับใบอนุญาตฯ จะมีรถของตนเอง วิ่งในเส นทางนั้นหรือไม ก็ตาม Car for rent refers to vehicle prepared for rent service, not for carrying passengers or a truck .
