กาลังแรงงานปัจจุบัน หมายถึง บุคคลที่มี อายุ 15 ปีขึ้นไป ซึ่งในสัปดาห์แห่งการสารวจมีงานท าหรือ ว่างงาน ตามค านิยามที่ได้ระบุข้างต้น กาลังแรงงานที่รอฤดูกาล หมายถึง บุคคลที่มี อายุ 15 ปีขึ้นไป ในระหว่าง 7 วันก่อนวันสัมภาษณ์ เป็นผู้ ไม่เข้าข่าย ค านิยามของผู้มีงานท า หรือผู้ว่างงาน แต่เป็น ผู้รอฤดูกาลที่เหมาะสมเพื่อที่จะท างาน และเป็นบุคคลที่ ตามปกติจะท างานที่ไม่ได้รับสิ่งตอบแทนในไร่นาเกษตร หรือ ธุรกิจซึ่งท ากิจกรรมตามฤดูกาล โดยมีหัวหน้าครัวเรือนหรือ สมาชิกคนอื่นๆ ในครัวเรือนเป็นเจ้าของหรือผู้ด าเนินการ กาลังแรงงานรวม หมายถึง บุคคลทุกคนที่มี อายุ 15 ปีขึ้นไป ในระหว่าง 7 วันก่อนวันสัมภาษณ์ เป็นผู้ อยู่ในกาลังแรงงานปัจจุบัน หรือเป็นผู้ถูกจัดจาแนกอยู่ใน ประเภทกาลังแรงงานที่รอฤดูกาลตามค านิยามที่ได้ระบุ ข้างต้น อัตราการมีส่วนร่วมในกาลังแรงงาน หมายถึง ร้อยละของประชากรที่อยู่ในกาลังแรงงานรวม (รวมกาลัง แรงงานที่รอฤดูด้วย) ต่อประชากรที่มีอายุ 15 ปีขึ้นไป ทั้งหมด ผู้ไม่อยู่ในกาลังแรงงาน หมายถึง บุคคลที่ไม่เข้า ข่ายค านิยามของผู้อยู่ในกาลังแรงงานใน สัปดาห์แห่งการ สารวจ คือ บุคคลซึ่งในสัปดาห์แห่งการสารวจมีอายุ 15 ปี ขึ้นไป แต่ไม่ได้ท างาน และไม่พร้อมที่จะท างานเนื่องจากเป็นผู้ที่ 1. ท างานบ้าน 2. เรียนหนังสือ 3. ยังเด็กเกินไปหรือชรามาก 4. ไม่สามารถท างานได้ เนื่องจากพิการทาง ร่างกายหรือจิตใจหรือเจ็บป่วยเรื้อรัง Current labour force: All persons 15 years and over who during the survey week, were either employed or unemployed as defined above. Seasonally inactive labour force : Persons, who are 15 years and over, during the survey week, were neither employed nor unemployed as defined above, but were waiting for the appropriate season, being persons who usually worked without pay on farms, or in business enterprises engaged in seasonal activities owned or operated by the head of the household or any other members of the household. Total labour force: All persons, who are 15 years and over, during the survey week, were in the current labour force as defined above or were classified as seasonally inactive labour force as defined above. Labour force participation rates : The percentage of the population in the total labour force to the population 15 years and over. Persons not in the labour force: Persons classified in this category are those who were neither employed nor unemployed during the survey week, nor classified as seasonally inactive labour force as defined above. They include: 1. engaged in household work, 2. engaged in studies, 3. too young or too old, 4. incapable of work because of physical or mental disability or chronic illness, 56 สถิติแรงงาน
