Agriculture: Thailand is the no. 1 exporter of rubber, however, the other crops, namely rice, vegetable and fruit are also exported. Thailand is as well famous in livestock, i.e. cow, pig, poultry, fresh water fish, and marine fishery. Industry: Agro-industry, textile, electric appliance and automobiles are Thai outstanding industrial exports. Tourism makes up a very high income of Thailand due to an existence of many tourist attractions and best service of the luxurious hotels in every part of the country, especially in Bangkok, Pattaya, Chiang Mai and Andaman Sea coast. Natural resources: It has the important natural resources, such as limestone, gypsum, zinc, iron, tin, lead, marble, silica sand, feldspar, kaolin, fluorite, potash, gems, coal, oil shale and natural gas, etc. Currently, the government aims to develop the country under the 12 th National Economic and Social Development Plan 2017 - 2021 which embraces the principles “Sufficiency Economy Philosophy” as a guideline for continuous national development. The development focus on “Human- Centered Development” and give priority to the development direction that aims to transition Thailand from middle-income country to high-income country, with security and sustainability. The society lives together happily by establishing on the basis of the 20 -year National Strategy framework (2018 - 2037) , which is the main plan of national development and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including the adjustment of the structure of Thailand to Thailand 4.0 in order to achieve “a developed country with security, prosperity and sustainability”.
