การคาดประมาณประชากรของประเทศไทย พ . ศ. 2553 - 2583 สำนักงำนสภำพัฒนำกำรเศรษฐกิจ และสังคมแห่งชำติ จัดท ำโดยใช้ข้อมูลจำกสำมะโนประชำกร และเคหะ พ . ศ. 2553 สำนักงำนสถิติแห่งชำติ เป็นข้อมูลฐำน ในกำรคำดประมำณประชำกร ภำยใต้สภำพข้อเท็จจริงที่ เป็นอยู่ในปัจจุบันและแนวโน้มกำรเปลี่ยนแปลงของข้อสมมติ ต่ำงๆ ให้มีควำมเหมำะสมเป็นไปได้มำกที่สุด ที่เกี่ยวกับ จำนวน และโครงสร้ำงอำยุ เพศของประชำกรที่ใช้เป็นฐำน และที่เกี่ยวกับกำรเปลี่ยนแปลงประชำกรทั้งกำรเกิด กำรตำย กำรย้ำยถิ่น และควำมเป็นเมือง ซึ่งจะเป็นประโยชน์ต่อกำร นำไปวำงแผนนโยบำยที่เกี่ยวข้องกับประชำกร สถิติชีพ แสดงข้อมูลเกี่ยวกับกำรเกิดมีชีพและ กำรตำย ซึ่งสำนักงำนปลัดกระทรวงสำธำรณสุข ได้ท ำควำม ตกลงในกำรใช้ฐำนข้อมูลทะเบียนรำษฎร์จำกกรมกำร ปกครอง กระทรวงมหำด ไทย ภำยใต้ข้อกำหนดของ พระรำชบัญญัติกำรทะเบียนรำษฎร์ ที่กำรเกิดจะต้องแจ้งต่อ สำนักทะเบียนภำยใน 15 วัน นับแต่วันที่เกิด และกำรตำย จะต้องแจ้งต่อสำนักทะเบียนภำยใน 24 ชั่วโมงนับแต่เวลำตำย หรือพบศพ ส่วนกำรตำยของทำรกในครรภ์ ปัจจุบันกฎหมำย มิได้กำหนดให้ต้องแจ้งกำรจดทะเบียนรำษฎร์ การส ารวจการย้ายถิ่นของประชากร สำนักงำน สถิติแห่งชำติ ได้เริ่มด ำเนินกำรสำรวจกำรย้ำยถิ่นของ ประชำกรครั้งแรกในปี 2517 โดยท ำกำรสำรวจเฉพำะกำร ย้ำยเข้ำสู่กรุงเทพมหำนคร ต่อมำในปี 2526 - 2533 ได้ ขยำยขอบข่ำย กำรสำรวจเป็นกำรย้ำยเข้ำสู่จังหวัดที่อยู่ใน เขตปริมณฑลของกรุงเทพมหำนคร และบำงจังหวัดในส่วน ภูมิภำคซึ่งกำหนดให้เป็นเมืองหลักในกำรพัฒนำ และตั้งแต่ปี 2535 จนถึงปีปัจจุบัน ได้ขยำยขอบข่ำยกำรสำรวจให้ ครอบคลุมทั่วทั้งประเทศ โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อรวบรวม Population Projection of Thailand 2010 - 2040 . Office of the National Economic and Social Development Council has been responsible for the population projection of the country. The latest version of the 2010 - 2040 population projection was set up by using the 2010 population and housing census, conducted by the National Statistical Office, which was the latest round, as the base data in order to comply with the current population situation on age - sex structure and appropriate assumptions on births, deaths, migration and urbanization. The population projection could be the sound input information for evidence - based plans and policies. Vital Statistics: Showed the data relating to births and deaths. The Office of the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Public Health has cooperation with the Ministry of Interior and reached agreement on using the Civil Registration database of the Provincial Administration Department, Ministry of Interior. Under the Civil Registration Act, birth must be registered at the Registration Office within 15 days from the date of birth, and deaths must be registered within 24 hours from the tim e at death or at the time the body found. Migration Survey: The National Statistical Office conducted the first migration survey in 1974, covering only the people migrated to Bangkok. Later during 1983 - 1990, the coverage was expanded to cover the people migrated to Bangkok Vicinity and some major provinces Since 1992 to the present, the survey has covered the migrating people nationwide.
