เนื้อที่ป า หมายถึง พื้นที่ปกคลุมของพืชพรรณที่ สามารถจําแนกได ว าเป นไม ยืนต นปกคลุมเป นผืนต อเนื่อง ขนาดไม น อยกว า 3.125 ไร (0.5 เฮกตาร ) และหมายรวมถึง ทุ งหญ าธรรมชาติและลานหินที่มีอยู ตามธรรมชาติที่ปรากฏ ล อมรอบด วยพื้นที่ที่จําแนกได ว าเป นพื้นที่ป า โดยไม รวมถึง สวนยูคาลิปตัส หรือพื้นที่ที่มีต นไม แต ประเมินได ว าผลผลิต หลักของการดําเนินการไม ใช เนื้อไม ได แก พื้นที่วนเกษตร สวนผลไม สวนยางพารา และสวนปาล ม ตามนโยบายป าไม แห งชาติ ได กําหนดไว ว าประเทศไทย ควรจะมีป าไม ร อยละ 40 ของพื้นที่ประเทศ หรือประมาณ 128 ล านไร จึงจะ เป นปริมาณที่เหมาะสมต อการสร าง ดุลยภาพทางด านสภาพแวดล อม และเน นให ประชาชนได มี ส วนร วมในกิจกรรมของกรมป าไม เพื่อประโยชน 2 ประการ ดังนี้ 1. ป า เพื่อการอนุรักษ กําหนด ไ ว เพื่ออนุรักษ สิ่งแวดล อม ดิน น้ํา พันธุ พืช พันธุ สัตว ที่หายาก และป องกัน ภัยธรรมชาติอันเกิดจากน้ําท วมและการพังทลายของดิน ตลอดทั้งเพื่อประโยชน ในการศึกษา การวิจัย และนันทนาการ ของประชาชนในอัตราร อยละ 25 ของพื้นที่ประเทศ 2. ป าเพื่อเศรษฐกิจ กําหนดไว เพื่อการผลิตไม และ ทรัพยากรจากป าเพื่อประโยชน ทางเศรษฐกิจ ในอัตราร อยละ 15 ของพื้นที่ประเทศ สถิติการประปา ได มาจากการประปานครหลวง และการประปาส วนภูมิภาคได รวบรวมข อมูลเกี่ยวกับจํานวน ผู ใช น้ํา ปริมาณการผลิต และปริมาณจําหน าย โดยการประปา นครหลวงรับผิดชอบ เขตพื้นที่กรุงเทพมหานคร นนทบุรี แล ะ สมุทรปร าการ สําหรับการปร ะปาส วนภูมิภาค รับผิดชอบพื้นที่ทั้งปร ะ เ ทศ นอก เ หนือจ าก เ ขตพื้นที่ กรุงเทพมหานคร นนทบุรี และสมุทรปราการ แต ไม รวมถึง ระบบประปาที่อยู ในความรับผิดชอบขององค กรปกครอง ส วนท องถิ่น Forest area means definition is a minimum area of land of 0.5 hectares (3.125 rai ) with tree crow cover including natural grassland and rock field with in the forest area. Eucalyptus plantation or the tree cover area producing mainly non wood products (i.e. agroforestry, orchard rubber tree and palm oil plantation) are excluded from the definition. According to the National Forest Policy, at least 40% of the country area should be covered by the forest, which is of about 128 million rai. This policy enhances a balance in environment and promote population’s participation with the Royal Forestry Department, for 2 benefit as follows; 1. Conservation Forest: at least 25% of the country area should be used for conservation of the environment, soil, water, rare species of wildlife, for prevention of natural disasters caused by floods and soil erosion and for benefit of education, research and recreation of people. 2. Economic Forest: at least 15% of the country area should be used for production of timber and forest resources and for benefit of economy. Waterworks Statistics were obtained form the Metropolitan Waterworks Authority and the Provincial Waterworks Authority. Its statistics present the data about the number of users, volume of production and distribution. There are two main authorities of waterworks; The Metropolitan Waterworks Authority is responsible for the area of Bangkok, Nonthaburi and Samut Prakan; the Provincial Waterworks Authority is responsible for the rest but does not include 558 สถิติทรัพยากรธรรมชาติและสิ่งแวดล อม
