สถิติประชากรศาสตร ประชากร และเคหะ สถิติจํานวนประชากรซึ่งเสนอในบทนี้ส วนใหญ ได ข อมูลจากสํานักบริหารการทะเบียน กรมการปกครอง กระทรวงมหาดไทย สํานักงานสภาพัฒนาการเศรษฐกิจ และสังคมแห งชาติ สํานักนายกรัฐมนตรี สํานักงานสถิติ แห งชาติ กร ะทรวงดิจิทัล เพื่อ เศรษฐกิจและสังคม และสํานักงานปลัดกระทรวงสาธารณสุข สถิติประชากรจากสํามะโนประชากรและเคหะ ประเทศไทยจัดทําสํามะโมประชากรและเคหะทุก 10 ป ตาม ข อเสนอแนะขององค การสหประชาขาติ ( UN ) ที่ขอให ทุก ประเทศในโลก จัดทําสํามะโนประชากรและเคหะอย างน อย ทุก 10 ป ในป ค.ศ. ที่ลงท ายด วย “ 0 ” เช น 1990 2000 2010 เป นต น เพื่อให แต ละประเทศมีข อมูลทางด านประชากร และสังคมในช วงเวลาเดียวกัน สําหรับประเทศไทยได จัดทํา สํามะโนประชากรมาแล ว 11 ครั้ง จัดทําครั้งแรกเมื่อป 2 4 5 2 โ ด ย ค รั้ ง ที่ 1 ถึ ง ค รั้ ง ที่ 5 จั ด ทํา โ ด ย กระทรวงมหาดไทย (เรียกว า สํามะโนครัว) และครั้งที่ 6 พ.ศ. 2503 เป นต นมา จัดทําโดยสํานักงานสถิติแห งชาติ โดย พ.ศ. 2513 ได เริ่มทําสํามะโนเคหะพร อมกับสํามะโน ประชากร สําหรับป 2553 เป นการจัดทําสํามะโนประชากร ครั้งที่ 11 ครบรอบ 100 ป สํามะโนประชากรประเทศไทย และเป นครั้งที่ 5 ของการจัดทําสํามะโนประชากรและเคหะ เพื่อรวบรวมข อมูลสถิติเกี่ยวกับจํานวนและลักษณะต างๆ ของประชากรทุกคนในครัว เ รือน ตลอดจนสภาพการ อยู อาศัยของประชากร ที่เป นข อเท็จจริงในวันสํามะโน เพื่อ นําข อมูลไปใช ในการวางแผนและกําหนดนโยบายต าง ๆ ทั้งภาครัฐและเอกชน ซึ่งในป 2563 เป นป ที่ครบรอบการจัดทํา สํามะโนประชากรและเคหะอีกครั้ง แต เนื่องจากสถานการณ การแพร ระบาดของโรคติดเชื้อไวรัสโคโรนา 2019 (โควิด- 19) สํานักงานสถิติแห งชาติจึงมีความจําเป นที่จะต อง ดําเนินการตามมาตรการเว นระยะห างทางสังคม (Social Distancing) อย างเคร งครัด จึงทําให ไม สามารถดําเนินการ Demographic, Population and Housing Statistics Population statistics presented in this chapter were obtained from the Bureau of Registration Administration, the Department of Provincial Administration, Ministry of Interior, the Office of the National Economic and Social Development Council, Office of the Prime Minister, the National Statistical Office, Ministry of Digital Economy and Society and Office of the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Public Health. Population Statistics from the Population and Housing Census : the National Statistical Office has been carrying out the Population Census every 10 years, ended with “ 0 ” such as 1990, 2000, 2010, according to the United Nations Recommendation to obtain population and social data. Thailand has already conducted the population 11 times, the first time was in 1909. The first five rounds of the population census were under responsibility of the Ministry of Interior (it was called “household census”). Since the sixth round; in 1960, it has been strictly conducted every 10 years under the National Statistical Office’s mandate, and since 1970, the housing census has been carried out together with the population census. The 2010 is the eleventh round of the population census and the fifth round of the housing one. This eleventh round has marked the 100 th year anniversary of the Thai population census. This round, as before, aims to collect data concerning number and characteristics of all members in all households, including living conditions of the population on the census date, to serve these kinds of data to public and private sectors for their evidence-
