Industrial and Mining Statistics
Industrial and mining statistics presented in this chapter were obtained from the Department
of Primary Industry and Mines, Ministry of Industry.
Minerals:
At present, Thailand produces more than 40 kinds of minerals. Most of minerals
used in the domestic consumption were limestone (for cement industry), lignite, shale (for industry),
gypsum, rock salt, glass sand, kaolin, ball clay, feldspar and dolomite, etc.
