Energy Statistics
Energy statistics presented in this chapter were obtained from the Department of
Alternative Energy Development and Efficiency, Ministry of Energy, the Metropolitan Electricity
Authority, the Provincial Electricity Authority, the Metropolitan Waterworks Authority and the
Provincial Waterworks Authority.
Electricity
The electric statistics were presented the data about installation, generation,
consumption and electric sales and revenues. There are two main authorities on electricworks;
the Metropolitan Electricity Authority has the responsibilities in the area of Bangkok, Nonthaburi
and Samut Prakan; the Provincial Electricity Authority has the responsibilities in the area of the
rest.
Waterworks
Its statistics was presented the data about the number of users, volume of
production and distribution. There are two main authorities on waterworks; the Metropolitan
Waterworks Authority has the responsibilities in the area of Bangkok, Nonthaburi and Samut
Prakan; the Provincial Waterworks Authority has the responsibilities in the area of the rest.
