. a child not becoming sui juris of a woman having Thai nationality by birth irrespective of
whether or not the woman will renounce Thai nationality in the case of marriage to an alien.
Temporary stay in the Kingdom
.
Alien entering into the Kingdom for a temporary stay may enter for diplomatic or consular
missions; performance of official duties; and touring, sporting, business and investing under the
concurrence of the ministries and departments concerned; investing or other activities relation to
investing subject to the provisions of the law on investment promotion; transit journey; being the person
in charge of the crew of a conveyance coming to port, station or area in the Kingdom; study or
observation; mass media; missionary work under the concurrence of the ministries and departments
concerned; scientific research or training or teach in a research institute in the Kingdom; the practice of
skilled handicraft or as a specialist; and other activities as prescribed in the ministerial regulation.
The alien who is allowed to take up residence in the Kingdom must apply for a Residence
Certificate from the Commissioner-General of the Royal Thai Police or from a competent official
deputized by the Commissioner-General of the Royal Thai Police within
30
days from the date
receiving written notification from a competent official.
The foreign nations whose under

years of age have been permited to settlement in the
Kingdom of Thailand, authorized administrator or administrator must ask for apply residential permit on
behalf of the foreign national
Any alien who has the following qualifications may apply for naturalization as a Thai:
1
. has attained sui juris status under Thai law and his national law,
2
. has good conduct and gainful occupation,
3
. has taken up residence within the Kingdom for an uninterrupted period of not less than
5
years prior to the date of applying for naturalization and has such knowledge of Thai language as
prescribed by law. The above requirements may be waived for a person who has performed
distinguished service to Thailand or who is a child or wife of a person who has been naturalized as a
Thai or has recovered Thai nationality or who used to have Thai nationality.
It is under the discretion of the Prime Minister, to grant or to reject any application for
naturalization. A favoured application shall be presented to His Majesty the King for approval.
Naturalization shall take effect upon its promulgation in the Government Gazette.
