สถิติ หญิงชาย
ผูหญิงในปจจุบันมี ศักยภาพความสามารถ
มี ความตื่นตัว รับรู /ติดตามข อมูลข าวสารทั ้งดาน
เศรษฐกิจ สังคม และการเมืองเพิ่มมากขึ้น ผูหญิ ง
จึงมี บทบาทสําคัญตอการพั ฒนาประเทศมากขึ้น
กวาในอดีต แมว าจะคงบทบาทของแมและภรรยา
ผูหญิ งสวนใหญออกมาทํางานนอกบาน เพื ่อแสดง
ถึ งศั กยภาพและความสามารถที่ มี อยู และยั ง
สามารถช วยเหลือจุ นเจือครอบครัวด วยทางหนึ่ง
อยางไรก็ ดีสถานภาพทางสั งคมของผูหญิงก็ยั งเปน
เรื ่องที่นาเปนหวง ด วยยังพบวาผู หญิงยั งคงไมได
รับการยอมรับจากสังคม มีความเหลื่อมล้ําระหวาง
หญิงชาย และยั งมี ผู หญิงถูกทํ าร ายร างกาย
ถูกล วงละเมิ ดทางเพศ หรือถูกล อลวงไปในทางไมดี
ซึ่งเปนปญหาสั งคมที่ตองไดรับการแกไขตอไป
ในบทนี้ จะกล าวถึงสถิ ติเกี ่ยวกั บหญิง
ชายในมิ ติตางๆ เชน ดานสุ ขภาพ การศึกษา
ก า ร ทํ า ง า น บ ท บ า ท ท า ง ส ัง ค ม เ ป น ต  น
เพื ่อสะทอนใหเห็นสถานการณความเหมื อน
ความแตกตางระหวางเพศ ให ผูเกี่ยวข องมี ความ
เข าใจในบทบาทและสถานการณที ่แทจริ งของ
หญิงและชาย อันจะนํ าไปสูการกําหนดนโยบาย
และแนวทางแกไขปญหาต างๆ ซึ่ งเกี่ ยวของกั น
ในทุกมิติได อย าง เหมาะสม เพื่ อใหเ กิดกา ร
บ ร ิห า ร จ ั ด ก า ร ก า ร ใ ห บ ร ิก า ร ไ ด อ ย  า ง มี
ประสิทธิภาพ
Chapter 6
Gender Statistics
With more potential, more pro-
active in participating in socio economic and
political situations of the country than
before, women currently are taking more
important roles in the country’s
development compared to the past. They
share not only a lead role in the family as
motherhood but also a working role for a
family support. However, social status of
women in some societies is still not treated
as equal as men. Moreover, problems of
violence against women, sexual harassment
still exist and need to be solved.
This chapter presents gender
statistics in various dimensions, such as
health, education, work and social
status etc., to reflect an inequality
between men and women.
The gender statistics can help
policy makers to better understand the
current situations which will lead to a
proper policy making so as to provide
effective services in related dimensions.
