ICT Indicators
Due to the rapid change of economic and social, it
results in the global development of Information and Communication
Technology : ICT. Considering from sets of ICT indicators, measuring
progress and development of ICT, i.e. no. of subscriptions of the
mobile telephone, of fixed telephone line, of broadband Internet,
of fixed broadband Internet, proportion of the Internet used by
individuals and households access to the Internet, it was clearly
seen that the ICT development worldwide has been gradually
progress. However, no. of subscribers of fixe telephone line has
decreased continuously since 2002, at the same time there has
been a dramatic increase in no. of subscriptions of the mobile
telephone. It observed by the indicator; no. of mobile telephones
subscriptions per 100 persons, was 18.4 in 2002 to 91.2 in 2012,
this figure showed the rapid change of using or accessing the
ICT devices.
From that emerging issue, roles of broadband network in
our cyber world have also increased dramatically. In terms of an
access to the ICT, the ICT statistics illustrated that the use of the
Internet by individuals and households accessing to the Internet
have not increased with high proportion but it has a tendency to
increase continuously. (Figure 1)
