The situation of the global ICT development in 2014 was about the same
trend as before, which was clearly seen from six indicators shown in Chart 1.
Especially, the number of active mobile-broadband subscriptions increased
dramatically from 29.5 in 2013 to 37.2 in 2014. Moreover, the International
Telecommunication Union (ITU) predicted that the number of active mobile-
broadband subscriptions would grow upward to 47.2 per 100 persons in 2015.
This situation implied that the mobile-broadband sector would be obviously
developed and expanded due to the rapid advancement from 3G to 4G
สถานการณ์ด้านเทคโนโลยีสารสนเทศและการสื่อสารของทั่วโลกในปี 2557 ยังคงมี
แนวโน้ มเช่นเดิม จากตั วชี้วัดทั้ง 6 รายการที่มีแนวโน้ มไปในทิศทางเดียวกันกับปีก่อนหน้า
และตั วชี้วัดที่มีการเติบโตอย่างเห็นได้ชั ดจากปีก่อน คือ จำ�นวนสมาชิกเครื อข่ายโทรศัพท์
เคลื่อนที่ความเร็วสูงต่อประชากร 100 คน ยังคงมีการเติบโตอย่างเห็นได้ ชัดเช่นเดี ยวกันใน
ปี 2557 (ปี 2556 จาก 29.5 เป็น 37.2 ในปี 2557) และทางสหภาพโทรคมนาคมระหว่าง
ประเทศ (International Telecommunication Union: ITU) ได้ คาดการณ์ว่าปี 2558 จำ�นวน
สมาชิกจะเพิ่มขึ้นถึ ง 47.2 ต่อประชากร 100 คน ซึ่งในสถานการณ์เช่นนี้ก็ได้สะท้อนให้เห็น
ถึ งการเติ บโตของโทรศัพท์ เคลื่อนที่ ความเร็ วสูงที่ นับวั นยิ่งมี การพั ฒนาและเติบโต
อย่างชัดเจน จากโลกของ 3G ไปสู่ 4G อย่างรวดเร็ว
