The value of collateral of the
pawnshop, each year, was about 100,000
million baht, and it tends to increase
continually. This reflects the financial
liquidity of household, especially during
the economic recession and strict lending
of the commercial bank, which makes
people have a difficulty access to the
financial service.
If the pawners do not pay the
interest for over 4 months and do not
redeem within 30 days since signing the
contract, the pawned items would belong
to the government pawnshop. In 2 0 1 6
there were 48,900 kinds of pawned items,
accounted about of 629.96 million baht.
