On the auspicious occasion of His Majesty the King’s Eightieth Birthday Anniversary

, the National Statistical Office published this special edition of the “Statistical Yearbook of Thailand
2007
” as a royal tribute and in deep gratitude to His Majesty for his immeasurable contributions to all of
Thai people to gain a better quality of living for a long time as continuedly. His Majesty fame evidently
spreads in various countries all over the world.
Special edition of the “Statistical Yearbook of Thailand
2007
” is the issue as collected statistical
information regarding economic, social and environment for supporting to the users, namely administrators,
planners, researchers and general readers. In addition to presenting statistical information, its detail of data
source indicated in the introductory part of each chapter and also found at the foot of each table.
In the conduct of this publication, the National Statistical Office is grateful to the Office of the Royal
Development Project. Board and the Office of His Majesty’s Principle Private Secretary for providing data
on royal development projects and photographs on royal activities, as well as other statistical units, It is
extremely hoped that this publication will prove to be of value to those who use national statistics in the
course of their activities.
