4.5 Mental Health
Economic crisis and rapid changes of
society at present have caused strong wider
impacts on most of the people, such as
stress and psychological symptoms. The
proportion of people with mental disorder
increased from 2,346 people per 100,000
population in 2010 to 2,677 people per
100,000 population in 2012.
Moreover, the stress and mental
diseases might lead the patient to commit
suicide. The Department of Mental Health
presented that the proportion of committing
suicide increased from 5.9% in 2009 to 6.0%
in 2014, the figures also showed that men
committed suicide three times higher than
women did.
