แบบแผนการเจ็บป่วยและเสียชีวิตของ
คนไทยเปลี ่ยนจากโรคติ ดต่อมาเป็นโรคไม่ ติดต่ อ
เช ่น เบาหวาน ความดัน โลห ิตส ูง โรคห ั วใจ
โรคมะเร็ง เช่นเดี ยวกับในหลายประเทศกาลัง
พัฒนา ซึ ่งเป็ นโรคที่ เกิดจากการถดถอยของ
ส ม ร ร ถ ภ า พ ก า ร ท า ง า น ข อ ง อ ว ัย ว ะ ต ่ า ง ๆ
ในร่างกาย และผลจากการสะสมของพฤติกรรม
ด้านสุ ขภาพที่ไม่เหมาะสม เช่น การบริ โภคยาสูบ
และแอลกอฮอล์ รวมถึงการกินอาหารที่ ไม่ดี
ต่ อสุขภาพ และขาดการออกกาลังกาย ซึ่งถือว่ า
เป็นพฤติกรรมเสี่ยงต่ อการเจ็บป่วยและเสี ยชีวิต
ด้วยโรคไม่ ติดต่อ
ประเทศไทยนับว่ าประสบความสาเร็จ
ในการขยายความครอบคลุมของสถานบริ การ
สาธารณสุข รวมถึ งการมี นโยบายหลักประกัน
สุขภาพถ้วนหน้ าให้กับประชาชน ซึ่ งส่งผลให้
คนไทยมีการเจ็บป่วยลดลง และอายุคาดเฉลี ่ย
ที ่เพิ ่มขึ ้ น อย ่า ง ไรก ็ ต ามป ระ เท ศ ไท ยย ังค ง
ป ระสบป ัญ ห าก ารกระจ ุ กต ัวขอ งบ ุคคลก ร
ทางการพทย์และสาธารณสุข ซึ ่งส่วนมากจะอยู่
ในเมือง ทาให้การเข้าถึ งบริการสุขภาพ บริ การ
อนามัยแม่และเด็ กของประชาชนพื่ นที่ชายขอบ
ยังคงเป็นปัญหา
Chapter 4
Health
The patterns of illness and death
in Thailand have shifted from infection
diseases to non-communication diseases
(NCDs), e.g. diabetes, high blood pressure
heart disease, cancer, which is the same
situation as other developing countries.
These NCDs caused by the mis-functioning
of the various organs of the body and
food consumption behavior, such as
drinking and smoking, unhealthy dietary
including insufficient physical activities,
which are risk behavior causing illness
and death.
Thailand has been successfully
expanded the health coverage policy and
the public health services units
throughout the country, which has strong
impacts on a decrease of people getting
ill and an increase of life expectancy.
However, Thailand is still confronting with
the problem of marginal people not
being able to get an easy access to the
health services due to an inadequate of
doctors and medical professional
personnel; most of them are working in
the cities. This caused the vulnerable
groups having difficulties in accessing to
health care services.
