3.2.5 Vocational Education
The social values of education in
Thailand are still focusing on general
education. From 2 million of students, of
these, there were 700, 000 vocational
students. Although vocational education
system is promoted to support the labour
market needs in some certain fields, it still
cannot meet the needs of the labour’s
market, especially in some fields of
industry, the curriculum was not so
inclusive.
The 2013 Survey on Labour Demand
of Establishment presented that “craft
and related trades” were in needs of the
establishments.
