แม้ จำนวนประชำกรในประเทศไทยจะ
เพิ่ มขึ้นทุกปี แต่อั ตรำกำรเพิ่มประชำกรกลับลดลง
อย่ ำงต่ อเนื่อง ซึ่งเป็นผลมำจำกจำนวนเกิดลดลง
จำกที่เคยมี กำรเกิดเฉลี่ ยปีละล้ ำนคนแต่ หลังจำก
มี นโยบำยด้ ำนประชำกรเมื่อปี 2513 จำนวนเกิ ด
ได้ลดลงอย่ ำงต่อเนื่ อง จนในปัจจุบัน (พ.ศ. 2559)
จำนวนกำรเกิ ดมีประมำณ 700,000 คนต่ อปี และ
ข้ อมู ลจำกกำรคำดประมำณประชำกร จำนวน
ประชำกรวั ยเด็ก (0-14 ปี) มีแนวโน้ มลดลงเรื่อยๆ
จำก ร้อยละ 19.8 ในปี 2523 เหลือเพียงร้อยละ

ปี 2583 ตำมลำดับ นับเป็นปัจจัยสำคั ญที่นำไปสู่

ทั้ งโครงสร้ำงเพศ อำยุและกำรกระจำยตั วของ
ประชำกร ซึ่งส่งผลกระทบต่ อกำรพัฒนำประเทศ
ทั้งด้ำนเศรษฐกิจ สังคม และสิ่งแวดล้ อม
The number of the population
increases every year, however, the growth
rate of population has been declining
continuously since the number of
population at birth declined due to the
effectiveness of family planning program
in 1970. Now (2016) population birth
around 700,000 people per year and the
population projection, it was found that
the number of children (0-14 years)
decreased from 19.8% in 1980 to 14.8%
and 12.8% in 2030 and 2040 respectively,
this is a key factor led to the change of
population age, sex structure and
population distribution which would
affect to economic, social and
environment.
